Julie, when you adopted him did they give you his racing history?

No they ddn't but because we had his racing name and the number tattooed in his ears Alan was able to do an internet search.
It's fascinating because all his racing history is there-(raced in two and came 5th out 6 each time which is probably why they didn't want him anymore). Also we traced his whole pedigree right back to the original sire and damn which started the line in the 1800s.

His poor mother had something like 40 odd puppies to different fathers.

Some terrible things go on to happen to these unwanted racers.

Bud is 7 and was eventually found in a shed on an allotment-we often wonder what happened to him in all those years. He has lots of scars.

LITTLE Bud? He's lovely, glad you were able to give him a good home. I often think about adopting a greyhound, a pipe dream really.

Lyn

PS - Monty said to tell you I've knitted part of a Nativity for Emily (going to do more next year). I may do some cakes or sandwiches for her some time. I love knitting and these little pieces are ideal.

Oh Lyn - I wonder if the nativity is the same one Mary L has made for our grandchildren? If so, I'm sure Emily will love it - it's stunning.

As for the knitted food - Julie's Alan is ALWAYS hungry so anything left over - send in their direction!

Love to you
